We really enjoyed our weekend at Samuels. We loved the peaceful location. Our room faced the Maitland River. We sat out on our private patio each night surrounded in beautiful gardens and soft wind chimes . The rooms were extremely clean and modern, we didn’t lack anything! The continental breakfast was very good, lots of fresh fruit, cheeses, bagels, yogurt parfaits, fresh meat and pastries, coffee’s and tea. We simply just loved the uniqueness of this hidden gem. Simple three minute drive to Goderich. We’d go back in a heartbeat
We stayed in the King River view room and it was lovely. Very clean and nicely decorated. The little patio and flowerbed out the back was well maintained. The breakfast bar that is included was just perfect and the service was excellent. I would highly recommend.
We stayed from March 29/25 until April 7/25. The rooms are awesome, with coffee, microwave and a we’ll stocked refrigerator. The amenities are too numerous to list and the rooms are amazingly quiet!! A great sleep!! The continental breakfast has a wonderful selection of breads, baked goodies, cereal and yogurt. We were in the area on personal business and the owner couldn’t do enough to make our stay great! Any time we are in the area in the future we will definitely be staying here again! A real treasure with an amazing location and history! Absolutely loved it!!
We had a great 2 night stay , The room was clean staff were friendly ,and the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing - just what we needed after a long day driving and exploring. The hotel had everything we needed for a comfortable stay . Also pet friendly (huge bonus) Would definitely stay again

Stayed only one night for a friend's wedding. Got in late and they accommodated with a lockbox key to my room with easy and clear instructions. The room was immaculately clean and cozy. The breakfast was unbelievable, fresh pastries and anything your heart could desire. Worth it!!! Will be returning.
We booked this hotel on a whim the day after finishing a cottage rental for a long weekend in Bayfield where we were not quite ready to leave. We were traveling with two dogs and searched this hotel out of curiosity. It was pet friendly and the price was more than reasonable when I called to inquire. We booked and we were more than pleasantly surprised. The front desk/hotel concierge was so friendly and helpful - I recommend booking directly - and was so explanatory and hospitable. The room was beautiful - and very roomy - and we had a terrace that backed onto the Maitland River. It was extremely clean, and had no carpeting. We had a patio door and were able to let the natural breeze in. The hotel is in a residential neighborhood so we were able to take the dogs for a nice walk. The shower was awesome, the bed more than conformable, the TV was at least a 60 inch and a fireplace crowned the room, as well as a minibar, which I haven't seen in a hotel room in ages. A European Continental breakfast is promised in the morning, which we're looking forward to. All in all, we're very pleased with our accidental spontaneous booking! Would HIGHLY recommend!
I would give more than 5 stars if I could. Adorable boutique hotel...they pay attention to every detail. Wonderful breakfast spread...exceeded my expectations.
